At an early age, Promise knew she wanted to be a healthcare provider. She was inspired from where she was born and raised to care for people and their families. Growing up in the Western part of Africa, health care was almost non-existent and most families have lost relatives to preventable and curable diseases.
After moving to the United States in her late-adolescence, she went in to Wellstar Nursing School at Kennesaw State University in the state of Georgia, where she graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing in 2013. Prior to graduating, Promise was employed by Wellstar Health System and she completed a one-year fellowship in Neuroscience. Promise's early career began at Neuro Intensive Care Units. Her patient care experiences within this setting further fostered a career pursuit within the primary care setting. Primary Care always appealed to Promise and she continuously discovered that was her calling. She loves the variety it provides and that she can really get to know her patients and care for them through health promotion and disease prevention. She also likes educating her patients and finds it especially rewarding when she can teach young people healthy habits that will benefit them well in to the future.
In 2020 Promise obtained her Master's of Science in Nursing at Georgia State University and her Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. Preventative Medicine, chronic disease prevention and disease management are her clinical interests.
Promise encourages patients and parents to be involved in their health and she will be their biggest cheerleader. Outside of work Promise enjoys time with her husband and her two young boys. As a "boy-mom" she is expected to engage in some outdoor activities, but she really enjoys foods, music and skating.
Promise is a proud member of the AANP.
